About ETi

San Diego Community Colleges District’s Employee Training Institute (ETi) provides fee-based education and contract education programs to the San Diego region and beyond, with the goal of empowering students and the business community to earn degrees and skills certificates within many local industries.

ETi provides customized training for nonprofit organizations and public entities. Instruction can take place either at the workplace or in ETi classrooms and learning labs. We offer day, evening and weekend training, developed around your organization’s needs. ETi can also deliver comprehensive state-approved, accredited degree and certificate programs to your organization’s employees or clients.

ETi faculty are experts. All faculty are required to know and teach current trends and the latest advancements in their discipline or industry.

ETi is committed to maintaining our 40-year reputation as the leading workforce development training institution in the San Diego region, so we keep overhead costs at a minimum to ensure we can offer exceptional programs at the most competitive rate.

Andragogy, or adult education, is our primary area of expertise. We provide training programs fully online, in-person or in blended model formats with wrap-around services such as one-on-one coaching, case management services, academic and career counseling, tutoring series, pre- and post-work needs assessments, and post-program evaluations. We differentiate instruction to meet the needs of the individual learning meeting each learner at their level of comprehension and build upon their prior experience.
