Introduction to Programming ArcObjects with VBA
Learn the fundamentals of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) application development and the specifics of working with ArcObjectstm. Employ hands-on programm- ing exercises to create usable code for many typical GIS programming tasks using the most commonly used ArcObjects classes. Learn to use VBA development tools including the Visual Basic (VBA) Editor, customize dialog box, and online help resources. Upon completion, participants will have plenty of sample code from which they can build their own applications.
Introduction to ArcGIS I (for ArcView 8, ArcEditor 8, and ArcInfo 8)
This course is for those who are new to ArcGIS and geographic information systems in general. The two-day course introduces ArcGIS including: fundamental GIS concepts, how to create, edit, and georeference spatial data, and using ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcToolbox. Learn how to manipulate tabular data, query a GIS database, and present data clearly and efficiently using maps and charts.
Prerequisites: No mapping or GIS experience is required, however, registrants must know how to use windowing software.
Introduction to ArcGIS II (for ArcView 8, ArcEditor 8, and ArcInfo 8)
This three-day course follows Introduction to ArcGIS I (for ArcView 8, ArcEditor 8, and ArcInfo 8). Students focus on spatial analysis, data automation, editing, and advanced options for cartographic display and reports.
Prerequisites: Introduction to ArcGIS I (for ArcView 8, ArcEditor 8, and ArcInfo 8) or Migrating from ArcView GIS 3.x to ArcView 8.
